About the event

Colonel John Pickerings Regiment of Foote welcomes you back to Castle Bromwich Hall Gardens for an Easter experience better than bunny shaped chocolate. Over two days we will be portraying a Parliamentarian regiment resting before they move onto one of the little know events of the English Civil Wars - The Battle of Curdworth Bridge - believed to be one of the first skirmishes between the Parliamentarian and Royalist forces in August 1642.

The gardens will contain a large living history display with crafts, cooking, soldiers doing what soldiers do, and cameos galore. There will be two displays of arms in the arena with detailed explanations of the weoponary and how these weapons were used at the time.

The Gardens are also planning Easter egg hunts for kids with clues hidden in Living History.
